I'm in the middle of starting a repair on this chair so the bottom bungees have removed but you get the idea. It looks so close to the Grete Jalk chair but has brass spacers at the top and concave arms(which are gorgeous)> It also has the bungees on the back as well as the seat. The only mark on the chair is a "K" that is done by hand but appears to be in the finish which also appears original and in great condition. Please help!!
Thanks
Josh

Definitely Jalk
That chair is definitely a Grete Jalk piece designed for Glostrup Mobelfabrik. I have 2 x two seaters stamped on the underside. A quick Google search will provide a few confirmations.

Probably NOT Grete Jalk
I've had this chair and the matching sofa, all stamped Glostrup. The sofa was older than the chair and subtly different in many details. It shows a clear evolution of the design over time.
While Jalk did design a line of tables for Glostrup, I have never seen any evidence, beyond dealer attributions, that would suggest she also designed this seating. If anyone has an old catalogue or book reference I'd like to see it!
Until then, I don't see much reason to think she had anything to do with this....

I've always been dubious as to the Jalk attribution often associated with this design. I have also seen it attributed to Arne Vodder. I suspect it is an in House Glostrup design.
