Hi, need some help to identify these chairs. Very stylish obviousley 60s but are they british ?, came from a modernist 60s house together with some robin day and william plunkett pieces. Upholstery similar to hopsack used by fritz hansen. Never seen them before any help would be appreciated.

very cool chair
its positively Alf Svensson for Dux, maybe this was a model without arms, I actually had one of these before I replaced it with a Knoll Bird chair, the only reason i replaced it was because it reminded me of that IKEA swivel lounge karelstad chair they have, they must have designed it after Alf Svensson's chair design.
But 60's Danish Shouldn't be compared to Ikea ever, pretend I never said that.
Many thanks to everyone who replied
Thank you so much for everyone who replied to my post. So its been identified as the 'Contourett Roto' chair by Alf Svensson circa 1960. I have managed to find various images of the chair, but they all have the arms added, and have a slightly later base ending on pronged feet.
The next step is to decide the best place to sell them, I am based in London UK, probably not the best place to sell them (we seemed to be obsessed with everything teak or rosewood here at the moment) maybe fleabay....any suggestions /offers
regards Gary
I,m sorry I,ve seemed to...
I,m sorry I,ve seemed to have upset a couple of people. Unfortunately I cannot keep everything I manage to buy. I obviousley appreciate the chairs but have no room for them, seems a shame to just store them. Plus they need re-upholstering etc, just thought someone else might want to give them a home.

not "upset"
just a little cynical (speaking only for myself....)--if they just need a new home, why not advertise on craigslist as follows: "free chairs to struggling young couple who love modernism!"--you'll have no trouble moving them.
if you're a dealer, do research; if you're an amateur, accept that maximizing the profit from the occasional piece you sell is not your game. it's fun to identify and discuss design; it's not so much fun to set prices for other people. again, just imo....
