I've noticed recently that there are two kinds of cado royale metal brackets on the market: most of them insert at an angle (bottom set of pictures), whereas others are attached through the shelves via a bolt (first picture). The former model is more elegant, but I was wondering what the second type was about because, you know, that't the one we have here.
The unit is well built and the wall mounts have a Made in Denmark embossed in the back, and they look well-made. These were acquired in California. Would that have been a variant available in the US at the time? Or are there any copies that people know about?

You are both right of course. I was not familiar with the PS system, and assumed it was Cado based on photos. I didn't expect such a close match on a different system. Now that I know what to look for everything becomes clearer. Thanks for your help!
Anyone tried to use Cado shelves with PS wall mounts? We have a few extra mounts without shelves, but the Cado shelves are much easier to find around here than the PS.
