I have an extensive Cadovius Royal system and along with the teak uprights, various shelves and cupboards I also have a number of items that seem to belong to the system but I've never really heard speak of.
I'm curious if they are Cado and whether they are harder to find.
They are;
An extendable dining table, one end of which clips into the teak wall batons.
A nest of tables (pictured)
A teak mirror which is the same width as the shelves and so fits perfectly in between two batons (pictured)
4 chairs (1 pictured)

.
The chairs indeed are Cado (Pia chair) and not so hard to find. The extendable dining table is also Cado but much less common. I have had one on my wish list for a while so lucky you to have found one!
A flat out no on the mirror and nesting tables being part of the Cado system, Royal or otherwise. I've had a chance to see several old brochures in the past and don't recall either a mirror or nesting tables listed in the options. They really don't seem to be a very good match to the other components do they?
Well, 50 percent's not bad... hey, that's almost half...
Many thanks Solange.
I...
Many thanks Solange.
I always had my doubts about the tables, they are well made but just don't feel right.
The mirror I was more hopeful of. The colour is right, the age is right, the quality is good and as I said, it fits perfectly between two uprights so I had hoped it was some long lost piece of Cado.
The whole system was bought from the same person in London who told me it was purchased new from Habitat or Conran (I don't recall which). I suppose it could have been that they were selling complimentary pieces at the time.
Come to think of it, did either of those stores sell Cado? I might try to research old catalogues of theirs.
Actually Solange, I'm likely to sell all of this in the future. I'm moving to a house that I just won't be able to use it and there's a Hans Wegner day bed I'm hankering for...
