be cautious
nice radio. just be careful that you are abolutely sure that the transitors and all its electrical components are all still in good working order before plugging it in (use an outlet that has a surge protection or gfci-ground fault circuit interrupter if you determined that it is in good working order) or have it checked by an electrician. also, if you are not the most technical person on radios, do not ignore the sign (usually a lighting volt symbol) in the back panel or if there is a label warning that says something like "do not remove, no servicable parts..." (in whatever language). be aware that even if it is not plugged in, you could possibly get an electrical shock. it won't kill you but you would probably wished you had not open the back panel.
these are great radios. i still have my old school 1955 braun sk1/sk2 tube radio by fritz eichler made for the usa market with an fm reception, still very useful in the 21st century.
