Hi guys,

I would love some more information on a difficult question. A while back, browsing though Taschens Decorative Art 70s my eye fell on a small (unfortunately b&w) picture of a very unusual style teapot/ milk jug / cup & saucer set (page 557). My interest rose even more as I read the caption: Brixham stoneware from a complete range of tableware, mottled chestnut high fired Tamooko glaze. Designed by Robert Welch for Brixham Pottery England.

Now, as for some reason my head seems to associate Robert Welch more with some great cast iron and flatware pieces than with stoneware service, and I actually rather like (some of) the stuff Robert Welch has created over the years, I would love to learn more about this line & also take a peak at a full color photo if possible (doing the design more justice). However, a quick Google / Dogpile search turned up nothing useful. I know it is probably a long shot, but if anybody has any information on these pieces, could you drop me a clue ? It would be much appreciated.

PS: I really wish i could put up the pic, wich would perhaps be helpful, but i do not have a digital camera or any scanning equipment, so i can only offer you guys a detailed reference.

Hi
Hi, I'm a bit of a RW fan myself, but hadn't noticed this set in the taschen book. I don't know anything about brixham Pottery, and may have passed the set over without realising any R. Welch input.
I can help you with the picture though !

Hi
It looks familiar, but I wouldn't have known it was by Robert Welch
( I wonder how well marked it is ?)
I'll certainly keep an eye out now!
