Very well-designed meals, but is cutlery plastic because of terrorism fear?

Notice how light all the food is...
Every ounce counts in turning a profit in the air, even in luxury class. 🙂
Its going to be a lot of fun to see some truly expensive vintages presented in plastic bottles with screw tops. 😉
Ah, progress.

awesome post !
i love the concord and find it very ironic that we had super-sonic passenger flight options in the 1970's but none in 2009....
"Delicious food cooked by the best chefs in the world accompanied with tasty wine from selected wine cellars was being served. The interior designed by Terence Conran made it even more special. If you belonged to the few who could afford the ticket"
the concord was a beautiful piece of art.... i will post photos and links to more info.... wolfgang tillmans devoted a lot of his time to the concord and published a book dedicated to the shots.....

I know that this is not cooking forum but economy airline meals are...
...once designed, and then just massproduced.
In 1960's Verner Panton predicted that in the Year 2000 cooking is just a hobby, and everyone eats prepackaged meals which come straight from the factory.

If stories about German flying saucers developed...
...during World War II were real, Lufthansa could have used them?
