I've just been asked to re-cord some Bramin chairs by H.W. Klein in Danish cord.

They were upholstered at one point but this has long gone. So I'm essentially converting them to papercord seats, and have to add the L-shaped nails.

Can anyone tell me how many L-shaped nails there are to the top/bottom and side rails of a Bramin dining chair and carver? I'm planning on doing them in the two-by-two Moller style.

Thank you!

PS
These are the chairs in question. There are also two carver chairs.

They should be about
1/2" apart on the side rails and 1" apart on the front rail.
Make sure you have an odd number on the front and back rails and the same number of nails on the back rail. If the back rail isn't as long as the front, you'll have to adjust the spacing a bit.
Side rails can have an odd or even number, doesn't matter. Whatever the spacing works out to is ok.
The side rails should have a nail pretty close to each corner, like 1/4" to 3/8" at most, and the front and back rail corner nails should be about the same, I think.

You're quite welcome.
I forgot to add that if your spacing isn't right on the 1" increments on the front rail, err on the side of shorter distance--7/8" is fine. 3/4 is a little tight, though.
Good luck!
