Hi all, I'd like to pick everyone's brains about the date of an Eames Lounge Chair. It's OLDDDDD, but I don't know how old. It has feather/foam cushions, 3 screws under the arm rests and the BOOT glides on the ottoman. Anyone want to take a shot at it?

I'm pretty sure the chair is authentic and the question is when it was manufactured. Some say it's between 56-57; some say it's pre-71.

Dating Eames Lounge
Based upon your description, it should be a 1956-1957 production. The boot glides were discontinued before 1958, many say before 1957. Please post pictures if possible.

I've confirmed with a trustworthy source that it is a 56/57, making it a first series! I"m thrilled!
