Try Grete Jalk. She was a kinda good designer who also moonlighted as a chronicler of her contemporaries. This is not a "who's who" but rather a history of who presented what when.
Also for some reason, the Japanese are crazy about Danish design. Very likely because it spare, minimal ideas fit so well with Japanese tradition. Noritsuga Oda (I have got this wrong for sure)is a place to start.
As a background, MCM Danish spread to the whole of Scandinavia. From Denmark, it spread to Sweden, Norway and Finland. Denmanrk is definitely the matrix of this as Greece is for Western civilization. But southern Sweden is only 10 miles from Copenhagen and the ripples reached there first. Early IKEA had some pretty good Danish designers doing pretty good stuff. Wörtz made some great, under appreciated stuff for IKEA that can be had for peanuts. The same can be said of Norwegian designers like Kayser and Ressel. Look at the time-line. Aalto came later. Ideas propogate with a certain speed.
