Nelson tray There's a matching fabric swatch on ebay right now that they are attributing to Nelson and the pattern is called "Pavement". http://cgi.ebay.com/7-Yards-George-Nelson-Fabric-Mid-Century-Eames-Era_W...

I have a new Waverly tray mystery
This one has, aside from the Waverly mark on the back, another impressed mark that says something like "Compliments from the Dow Chemical Company"
Any ideas whose artwork this might be?
Edit to add - just noticed that below the bananas is signed "MM Jonnson" (as best I can tell) - still don't know who that is though

another boltabest tray
Here's another Bolt A Best tray. The back says "tempo". The pattern looks a lot different from the George Nelson trays.

Hi
Doubt that that pattern was designed by anyone notable.

Thank you jesgord
jesgord,
Thank you for bringing these trays to my attention. I did not know they existed and I am grateful for the knowledge. This will be one more thing to look for in my travels. Thanks again for the help.

Small Boltabest trays
I just picked up 2 Nelson designed "Tempo"pattern Boltabest trays that are much smaller than any i have seen previously.
They measure 8"x10".They are marked on back with the usual Boltabest logo along with Tempo tray and #224
Just wondering if anyone knows about this size and whether they are as common as the larger versions i have seen marked
#295(14x18") and #294(16.5"x12.25").
I have also seen that Vitra is producing these for around $80
Looking forward to hearing some feed back on these cool trays
and an answer regarding the mysterious small trays

Another size
I just purchased another pavement pattern tray which I believe to be a early version because it has a G logo with the name Bolta # 504
and is a size I haven't run across before 15.25" x 20.5"
I also ran across other info regarding the origins of the company
It was founded in 1955 by John Bolten, a successful German entrepreneur. Originally, he was in the business of manufacturing plastic combs in Andover, Massachusetts. That business evolved into a vinyl sheeting company, which he operated under the name of Bolta Plastics. Bolten sold Bolta Plastics to General Tire Company, providing the capital for his acquisition of the Standard Publishing Company, a Cincinnati, Ohio-based publisher of religious books and magazines, and Roehlen Engraving, a Rochester, New York-based engraver of embossing plates and rolls for texturization. The two businesses were merged to form Standard International, later renamed Standex International Corporation."

Pattern Designer?
Is there any definitive information that proves this is a design from the Office of George Nelson? This pattern (Scribbles?) is attributed to Nelson (Harper) quite a lot, but no one has been able to offer any proof as to whether or not this is true.
