Hello,
I resently looked at some scenes in the movie "9½ Weeks" which has some furniture that I have been unable to identify.
Apart from the Wassily chair in Mickey Rourke's apartment, there are some black steel tube furniture such as a dining table with matching chairs and a small desk/table up against a wall. There is also a special chaiselounge.
Does anyone konw who designed the furniture?

I'm surprised that you were distracted by the furniture
Perhaps this may help someone with the ID.

Surely Bauhaus didn't produce them?

No
those chairs predate the Bauhaus (being 1908)
Sorry, was just making the Hoffmann/ Bauhaus association.
[edit]
apparently this chair was produced by Thonet, Germany.

Hi again,
Thanks! It was Richard Meiers furniture I had my eye on.
BTW, I own the cool looking Nakamichi RX-505 😛 Highly recommended!

What about the table against the wall?
Just found out that the chairs and table were made of black lacquered maple and not steel.
What about the black lacquered tubular steel table with the Stelton bucket at 0:36-0:43? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQtVNTBvANI
Did he design this as well?

Erk! Patrick Bateman, I'd be ...
Erk! Patrick Bateman, I'd be getting out of that apartment quick smart.
Looks like some sort of Warren McArthur confection to me but wouldn't really know, perhaps someone more familiar with US furniture will know.
