What do you guys think of the blue Bitossi ceramics from the early 1960's?

I'm starting to collect it, and here's your chance to talk me out of it.

I think..
I think certain pieces are great and well designed (like the bird) but some of it just looks clunky and haphazardly produced.

I also collect Bitossi
I like it's look. Although I only have 4 or 5 pieces, I keep an eye out for them when shopping. They look nice in my apartment and the "Rimini Blue" fits in just fine.
I have noticed that the price on Bitossi has started to rise a bit in my neck of the woods. Heck, it seems like all the pottery prices that used to be cheap as dirt, has gone up in just about every store I frequent. Why is that?

Simply
Simply that as pieces become collected they leave the market place, and this stuff is getting harder and harder to find.

the real stuff, Johnathan Adler does a spin(rather weak really) on Bitossi vintage...its fun,its joy,and its really inexpensive smile compared to alot of 50s/70s pottery...
