James, this picture of the jet engine you posted in the vase part 2 took awhile to sink in, but I've had another look at it and it is quite remarkable.

The floral form of the turbine is intrigues me.

Is bio-mechanical a term that has been in use for some time, or did you just coin it?

I think it's been out there
cuz there's also bio-mimcry which refers to nature as an inspiration for design, which of course, it is most of the time.

My first recollection of the use of the term bio-mechanical was by the artist who did all the production design for the movie Alien, H.R. Giger.

One of the tru;y great films of the 20th century. I saw it opening weekend in Wash D.C. First time I ever screamed in a movie, the Exorcist was just campy fun...
