Beware of fake "Fan pleated Clock # 2223" Nelson clock on ebay

How do you know this?

The seller
doesnt say its "original" do they?, they say it has been made with vintage parts so why the panic?.

I've seen one of these in person
The back plate has had a "patina" added to it, but an even better give away, the back is not die stamped. The same greedy crooks did a knock off of the "eye" clock & started selling them on ebay. Little did they know that Vitra would do one shortly after they came out with there's.It's easier to explain it as being comprised as new vintage parts, that can = $$$. Knock off & fake do not. What we are looing at here is pure greed trying to capitalize on the rabid Nelson clock collector market.

good for you nver eat Pork I am gald you pointed this out I read what the ebay gal sadd in her write up she seemed to be getting a little hot under the collar on her fleemarket find trying to pass it off as a something rare but we all know better don't we!!!!

anyone have photos?
I just saw this post and wondered if anyone had photos of the fake. I'd really like to see what kind of job they did.that doesnt seem like an easy clock to replicate.
