I was curious as to what everyone thinks is the best marketplace for Mid Century Furniture and art. I am new to this and am not impressed with ebay. Opinions?

It depends on where you are...
It depends on where you are living, in Europe for example - especially Germany - the best place for MCM is ebay, the choice of products and the sales figures are fantastic.

eBay
Is your best bet for general goods. If you really nice stuff, you might want to consider auction houses or setting up your own site.

Yes, I agree, eBay is a very good place to sell your stuff online though there are many other options as well if you plan to sell anything online. I think selling stuff online is a lot better than the conventional methods.

Advertising
I'd say from your location you could get a nice little network going. Advertise weekly or bi weekly trips to NYC. For both buying and selling and delivery. You could add Philly in there too. Maybe even Chicago. I live 60 miles from Philly and drive my items to people. So person buys item makes a small deposit to Paypal to show interest and I will deliver. I then scour their neighborhood for other prospective items to buy If you make an easy route you could have both sellers and buyers lined up. Some items you may not even have to bring home (they are the best).
