The $2400 price tag of the Castiglioni-licensed FLOS lamp (made in Italy, stainless steel arc & shade) is more than I'm willing to pay. So I'm left with a choice of reproductions by Alphaville Design $550-$600 delivered, or others "made-in-China" selling for as little as $425 delivered. For now I'm leaning toward Alphaville, even though their lamp is chrome-plated rather than stainless steel, simply because I already own their LC2 armchair and I'm quite pleased with the quality of materials and workmanship - purchased last year for $1050 delivered, including upgrade to premium black Italian full-grain aniline leather. On the other hand, I'm thinking . . . if competing ARCO-style lamps are coming from the same Chinese factories, then why pay more for Alphaville? So here's my question to you. Has anyone purchased from a U.S. online vendor a "made-in-China" ARCO-style lamp, including but not limited to Alphaville Design? If yes, any comments and recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. ____________ PS - I recently ordered a similar marble-base stainless-steel ARCO-style lamp, George Kovacs P860-084, and it twice arrived damaged by the freight carrier due to inadequate packing by the manufacturer. Both times I refused delivery and received a full refund from the vendor.

i also meant to say i bought a Flos 10 years ago at a estate sale and i
know it is the stainless steel but the one from Furniure fancy/alphaville came packed real nice and was able to be put togther real easy.
It is Chrome but not cheap. On this one it is hard to tell any difference, I would save my money and go with furniture fancy
