I bought a very large and heavy oak wood table, sits 8 people, on EBay for $75. A table of this type and size would have cost me about $1000. It came with 6 chairs I did not particularly care for. I had already bought dining chairs, but the seller brought them in the truck with him already. He did not want to return home them, so I took them off his hands even though I had nowhere to put them. I figured I could give them to a family member or sell them in a garage sale or something. It turns out that they are some version of the Cesca chair by Marcel Breuer. The label under them reads Made in Italy, Hank Loewenstein Inc. Fort Lauderdale, Fl 33316 USA. The labels seem pretty old. If anyone knows if they are worth anything, or how to find out, please let me know. Thanks so much! I found this forum trying to find info on the chair myself.
if they're cane and made in...
if they're cane and made in italy, they're worth $50-$75 apiece to the right person.
new knoll cesca's are ridiculously expensive, but i've never met anyone that has been silly enough to buy one of these, especially when vintage and newer chinese versions can be purchased at almost every goodwill in america for $5-10 apiece.
