I suspect hair brushes are highly specialized to the kind of hair one has to brush, but I would appreciate it if anyone could make any generalizations about best hair brushes and if possible, who designed them.

I once
had friend with fine, curly hair, who was very fond of his hairbrush; it was the sort that had stiff and slightly conical bristles (?) attached to a rubber core, which in turn attached to a plastic core with handle.
Now that I think of it -- I wonder if it was actually a dog brush ?

I have fine-textured, fluffy, curly hair that tends to frizz.
I find many brushes with natural or tightly packed bristles, add static and induce tangles. I use the type that have widely spaced, stiff little fingers and air vents. The brand that always seems the best to me is Conair.

Thank you both...
Judging by the minimal responses from others, hair brushes do not stimulate designers' imaginations much. Interesting.
