Bertoia side chairs...very early vintage?  

Hi All,

I recently purchased 2 Bertoia side chairs in Flint, MI and I was hoping that some kind soul could help me date them.

There's some history here - I was told that they were in one family since the late 50's early 60's, and the white plastic coating (yellowed with age / smoke) with black base seems to match that vintage.

It was explained to me that the seat pads are not original, but made by the owners in the 70's.

Any experts out there want to shed some light on these beauties? Check out the link for photos.
