Hi,

I've always thought the Bertoia ottoman loop was double wire. Then I found this picture with a single wire loop. Can anybody confirm whether Knoll at one time produced ottomans with single wire loop or if single wire loop ottomans are all knock-offs?

(attached pictures: 1 with double wire loop, 1 with single wire loop).

Thanks

For what it's worth
My ottoman has a double-wire edge.

Thanks, mine too, and all of...
Thanks, mine too, and all of those I've seen until then double wire.
I really wonder if those single wire ones:
- are fake
- are from a time where the Eames patent would have been an issue
- were intended as such, but were too weak so the double wire was added later (and then whether they are prototypes or production)
- were made so if sold without cover (the example looks like a Rislan one, so maybe meant for outdoor and sold without a cover?)
Anyway, I find it the single loop more elegant and the picture seems to match with Knoll style.

Mine has a single wire edge and is upholstered. The ottoman was found together with and early, thin wire diamond chair.
