I have set of four Bertoia side chairs that I found on eBay in white. They have seemingly all the hallmarks of the authentic chairs: correct square count up and down, the welds along the side of the main wires are in the usual place, the method of the base attaching to the seat is in line with the older vintage of Bertoia chairs, the wires running over the attachment points are slightly thicker than the other wires of the chair, the white finish is definitely a vinyl finish that is extremely durable and polished up to a very bright white with some elbow grease.
However the front wire runs underneath the many wires that compose the seat. It seems to be the only thing that is different from the many examples of the chair that I saw online. It leads me to believe that if they are in fact real, they're very early as they would have changed the design quickly after first starting production. Any experts out there know one way or the other?

Yes
These are authentic. I'm not sure exactly when Knoll switched to the front wire ends running under the frame, but I guess it was sometime in the later generations.
