So about a year ago I had a "naked" Bertioa bird chair with no ottoman. It needed to much work so I ended up selling it, but now I have the opportunity to buy a 1970s model that has a cover, and an ottoman and seems to be in pretty good shape. Its white with a blue cover, really diggin the mod look it has. They are asking 950, but i talked them down to 850 cash. Does this seem reasonable?
It is vintage, and as far as I know 99.9 percent authentic, because Ive never heard of fakes or repos.
anyway heres some pics tell me what you think.
For some reason the web associated images dont always work for me so heres both ways.

Web images don't work for you because
what you're pasting isn't actually an image. To make images work:
1. Go to imageshack.us and find your image.
2. Click the "Links to share this image" text. It'll expand, showing two URLs; one's labeled "Link" and one's labeled "Direct Link".
3. Copy the "Direct Link" URL and paste that into the "associated web images" box here.
$850 is a typical Ebay price for a chair with bad foam.
If the covers are original, the foam inside is gone and you'll have to buy new covers. Vintagenc is right: Those chairs are very uncomfortable without foam, and new covers start at around what you're paying for the whole chair (if you buy them during Knoll's twice-yearly 15%-off sale) and go up to around double that price depending on fabric.
A chair with new covers is EXTREMELY comfortable, and even after buying the covers you'll have spent only around half of the new-chair price.
Don't forget to check for broken welds, especially around the front edge of the chair and around the shock mounts.
