Herman Miller and
Knoll have gotten out of the bedroom furniture business quite a while ago.
I can understand that it's not so important to make bed frames, but you'd think that Herman Miller would bring a select group of 4 or 5 Nelson Basic Storage chests back into production.
I would image that they'd sell quite well. After all, the platform bench is currently in production, and they could sell the chests with legs or without.

I called
Herman Miller just to place a bee in their bonnets about considering bringing back 3 or 4 bookshelf/chests from the Nelson Basic Storage group. If they ever did, they could use the same carcas for both a chest of drawers and/or an open bookshelf. If they made them with or without feet then they sell them to those with platform benches.
In light of the economy, we'll see if they take the bait.
