I'm looking at a pair of scoop chairs that I think are Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin but just want to get some more info on how to accurately ID them.

They have 9 buttons each, with metal half round legs. It's there anything in particular I should be looking for?

Either
If you think the upholstery is original, they are not MB. Google images should give you all the help you need.

Most examples I'm seeing...
Most examples I'm seeing online have a 16 button configuration. As for the upholstery, they both covered in a velvet like fabric.
Attached are pictures of the chairs in question.

Yeah, but the button count...
Yeah, but the button count is throwing me off. The upholstery doesn't look to be original though but I don't know why the upholsterer would have changed the button configuration...

what does it matter if they are baughman or not?
Just buy them if they are cheap enough and flip them.

I suppose I could but I'm...
I suppose I could but I'm not one for the quick flip. The fact that I'm not overly enthused about them, I'm just curious. I've always like the shape of these chairs though.

The Scoop in current...
The Scoop in current production has 12 buttons in three rows of four.
Look for shape, tags, and quality.

Looks like someone
beat you to the chairs, M_Dennis. And he's not letting the button question bother him.

I saw that. Interesting...
I saw that. Interesting since the seller was only willing to sell them with a pair of sofas that are still for sale. Oh well. I'm on to better things... the one chair looks like the padding is clumpy and dry and the upholstery would have to go.
