In the chrome steel version the frame is consisted of 5 different pieces screwed together and that's why there are these seams on the frame . In the stainless steel version the frame is one continuous piece so there not seams . The white barcelona is 100% genuine and it is made by chrome steel . My chrome barcelona has these seams too .

Go to 12:48 , it shows the knoll factory in italy where the frames are made of chrome steel , and you ll see these seams .

And what about the other one, the black chair? Have you seen the images on the photobucket link? Is it Knoll or a well done repro (by Steelform?)?... [Mark, my white chair comes from Knoll Italy, I purchased it 5 years ago along with a small Saarinen tulip sidetable]

In my opinion this is not a barcelona made by knoll. It may have the same seams ( i have seen the same seams is fakes as well ) but there are some other details that make me believe this chair is not genuine .

Umm.. if the OP was being truthful about the info on the cushion and ths site is correct, that chair may be more authentic than a Knoll.
