I was in a local thrift Friday and saw what I thought was an original Barcelona table priced at $40.00.Since I was in my compact car and have all the tables I could use,I didn't linger over it.I went back this morning before work to check out the other items and lo and behold,it was still there, albeit covered with knick knacks, etc.I was in the same room looking at other items when a person walked by me and rudely belched in my ear.I was temtped to ask"Did you get any on you?" Nonetheless,he went right to the table with a woman, and started hovering about, looking it over, asking her,"What do you think?" Eventually he had somebody on the cell phone asking, where are the markings? At this point,a tall blonde entered the room with a Sold sign, and said,"Sorry I just bought this." Well,I near applauded!
I think it was the real deal,as I recall the holes for the glass pads near the end of each cross member.I should have crawled under to look for the KP, signifying Knoll Production. If only I had the proper vehicle and storage room.Ah,well-you can't have everything.
