Barcelona Table - Fake??

can somebody tell me if it's stamped in the metal or if it's some kind of sticker? I've spent hours trying to look the info up.. damn google : ) thanks for your help..

If it is Knoll
KNoll only started stamping their Barcelona furniture in 1994. If it is earlier than that it wont bear the stamp.

stainless steel man!
KNOLL now makes the tables in chrome and stainless with a KNOLL studio impression, but the ealier ones were unmarked. however they were only available in high polished stainless steel with 5 plastic tabs to buffer the steel and glass. i have never seen a stainless steel knockoff.

Alphaville Design markets a...
Alphaville Design markets a very accurate stainless steel knock-off. It's made in China, but it's solid stainless (not hollow). It has four holes drilled in the top bars for the spacer cups. Search eBay for "Alphaville Design Mies Style Coffee Table" and you'll find a retailer in California.

I purchased recently a barcelona table. I assume it is stainless steal because the metal is non-magnetic. It has 4 holes to hold the very heavy glass top. It misses the KP (Knoll production) marking, but instead it has marking as seen below in the picture (see link). Did I bought a fake one? Who knows?
