I was in the local Salvatio n Army and just nothing to be found. As I was walking out,it caught my eye.Same 3/4" Plate glass as a Noguchi, with flat edge, with 1/8" beveled edges,36" square. It has a base which is not steel, but polished aluminum. No signature or stamp found.Looks like the center of the base that the glass sits on is rounded on the insides of the "X".The base stands 14" without glass,14 3/4" with.If this is not an original Mies,is it perhaps another designer? Looks like the same base as found in Herman Miller furniture.Anyhow,I felt 29.00 was a good deal,so I bought it.I'm going coffee table crazy lately, with the Noguchi and now this! Any idea what it may be?

stainless steel and ...
stainless steel and aluminum were used a lot by Pace furniture in the 60's and 70's with good 3/4 glass I bought one very similar sounding this summer from an estate sale and it had the pace sticker on it,
I sold it to a guy who was just dying for it as he bought 4 other pieces that were Pace you might check it out and get me a picture,
i could tell from that.

one thing about pace for ...
one thing about pace for a great furniture company, they used the cheapest stickers you could find,
they seemed to dry up and fall off, I have had about 6 pieces this summer from the same estate and all the pieces were from the same series.
of all the pieces 2 had stickers and the other 4 had just dryed up and fell off and you could see where they once were, ( i hate that )
I like most readers on this forum who buy great vintage furniture is always looking for furniture with stickers, it just seems to validate and make thing s easier and helpful and we all feel good that it is what we think it is,
sometimes we all get trumped a little and it is not what we though what it should be, but if you are out hunting at junk stores and estate sales YOU will find the Prize ACORN and that is what makes us come back and look for more.

I bought it and have it...
I bought it and have it stored in Florida,I have never laid eyes on it personally though there seems to be a sticker inside.
There are also 2 night stands for sale on the link below and Ive seen other pace items in the exact same style,I am 99% sure its pace.
