It looks like the bottom spreader on these chairs is attached incorrectly. Can anyone confirm this? Also the bases are hollow. Are these chairs authentic?

I can see the Herman Miller stamp in the spreader. Could be that someone put the base on wrong at some point.
And I believe my base is hollow like shown. Its only the later Universal bases that are sculpted all the way around.

I believe the base on mine is solid cast aluminum.

Don't see anything to suggest otherwise.
This design isn't an easy knockoff, you know.

That version of the chair isn't copied.
The only Aluminum Group knockoffs I've seen are of the EA335 (swiveling desk chair with arms).
Your blue chairs look completely authentic to me.
