Does anyone (Robert?) have any info on this coffee table - I've had a couple over the years and have always regretted passing them on so this one is a 'keeper'. One auction catalogue I have describes it as being by Edward Ihnatowicz for Mars Ltd circa 1954 - but doesn't give a ciation. Ihnatowicz is better known as a 'cybernetic sculptor' who designed one of the first robots (the Senster) capable of responding to humans. Nice table anyway.

I'm not sure !
I've seen the Mars attribution too...and that date would seen to be bang on, don't you think ?
I always thought they were English, another dealer said he was convinced they are French..but I doubt it somehow..
I've sold a couple and regret it now too!

Nice resolution on that camera, Paulanna!
you can even see the dents in the carpeting where you had moved the table from before shooting it. What kind is it? I'm in the market for a new one.

Thanks Robert - I'm sure its ...
Thanks Robert - I'm sure its definitely English. Typical French perfidy to say its one of theirs (I am kidding!). One day I'd like to do a book charting the highpoints and horrors of 'Atomic Style'
Hi Olive - the camera is an ugly looking 4 year old Canon G6 7.1 set on lowest resolution (for web), quick fixed in Photoshop Elements. I don't know much about modern cameras but I think its still true that quality of lens is still more important than having umpteen million pixels despite what the manufacturers tell us. Incidentally I was given Photoshop Elements as a gift and it sat on a shelf for a year before I installed it but I've since found it to be absoloutely brilliant AND easy to use even for a non ipod owning luddite technophobe such as I.
