i'm doing an A level in product Design, and am doing a product study on the 3107 chair, i'm currently trying to find out about how this chair is manufactured however this is proving to be difficult as most sites just talk about the design, so if anyone knows anything that would be helpful, thanks

Basically...
it is quite a simple chair.
The legs are two bended steel rods welded to a common steel plate. Chrome plated and fixed on to the shell with screws close to the center of the seat. The whole construction is covered with an ABS plastic injection mnoulded plate that snaps onto the wooden part that serves as a re-enforcement for the steel plate thatholds the legs.
The shell is moulded out of an uneven number of layers of veneer to form a plywood seat-backrest combination. The moulding can be done between two aluminum moulded plates or between one mould (in this case the interior of the seat and backrest and a sand- or air-bag (small series) The chair dates back from a time when combined curves were still difficult to make (it is still not an easy job) so Arne Jacobsen was smart enough not to combine curves and so the curve between seat and backrest, as well as the curve of the front of the seat are flat curves in one direction and the backrest and the seat are curved in the other direction without any of the curves overlapping. Another smart detail are the rubber blocks supporting the seat. They reduce the leverage and thus the force you can apply on the central screws without making a fixed connection that would easily be overcharged.
I guess that is a good start, but if you habe more questions left please ask
