I'm talking with some people who are selling their house.
The interior consists of a weird collection of furniture and ornaments.
There's a bertoia bird chair (standing lonely in an abandoned painters studio),
some dutch wall-lamps (anvia, hala?), florence knoll hanging sideboards (teak/seagrass) but also, also what seems to be a grand prix table by Arne Jacobsen.
I've never seen such a table before, not in real life, not on photo. I thought, what sort of table is that? Legs remind a bit of a Grand Prix chair..
And yes, there is such a table, apparently.
I hope I can buy some things, but when it comes to that table, I have no idea what it's worth.
Does anyone here own one? How much do they go at shops?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks tchp
Here's one with leaves, I think the one I've seen doesn't have these.
Were these designs made for homes? Or more like furniture for
public use (libraries, schools,...)
I have the impression not many were made..

The proportions
of that leaf table when opened might be quite fine . . .
The leg design expresses its structural rationale in a fine way. I like it.

I'm still negotiating, Jim 🙂
I personally like the hang-ear table (or isn't that the name), but I think
the one I'm eyeballing is a model without these leaves.
I think these tables were seldom sold, here in belgium. I assume these
were mostly sold for denmark or scandinavia.
Either way, the model doesnt seem to be a success (commercially) as
other designs by Jacobsen, but it's that wich also attracts me to it..
I'll keep you post it and will upload a photo if I'm lucky!
