I contacted Fritz Hansen (New York office) through their local distributor. They were less than helpful. Seemed confused by the request and completely unfamiliar with vintage chairs.
Anyone out there have one of these they would like to part with? I'd rather not have to fabricate one...

Still looking for a fastening plate
I thought one of these would be WAY easier to find! Any of you design addicts have an old junker series 7 with a fastening plate? Any clever ideas where I could look?

I still think you should look into the fabrication route. Should be fairly straightforward.
