The Nelson attribution is complete BS. The lamps are Rosy 'N Nosy. Two characters from the Gasoline Alley comic strip. They're hard plastic bodies with painted metal shades. We have a pair we've been saving for our future children's room

They're by Giorgio Nelsoni, spurned lover of Gianni Sacchetto di Frutta's mother. Nelsoni had a promising career as a designer but after the beautiful young bambina dumped him, he just kind of quit trying and these doggie lamps, or lampade del cucciolo as they are called in Italy, are the best he could come up with.
The name was anglicized by the American distributor due to Mafia-related xenophobia stirred up by...um...Joe McCarthy. Yeah, that's it.

I have three of these lamps in my garage in the original boxes. Any idea what they are worth? I can't find any record of them selling anywhere.
