I purchased these two chairs, which the seller had reupholstered 15 years ago, along with a pair of authentic barcelona chairs from a woman in town who was downsizing. Based on the look of the chairs I thought they were Baughman's, I plan to have them reupholstered in Knoll Cato, I couldn't find any distinguishable markings after lifting up the black felt on the bottom. There is some writing, but I cant make it out. Any ideas on who made these chairs? I uploaded the photos to flickr:

OK
Not the same as the Plunkett chairs I posted
Where in the world are the chairs ? (always helps with identification)
Also please put the picture links in the 'associated web images' boxes- then they appear in your post.
Best
Robert

They are in PA, but from what...
They are in PA, but from what the seller told me they were purchased in the DC area back in the 60's/70's. Regarding the pics, I added them in the designated section but they did not appear.

dude, those are sweet chairs............
i bet the feet are ribbed on their sides and might be slightly rounded on the bottom........am i right?
money says their george kasparian.
george's furniture was mostly marketed as contract office furniture.
i've had three labeled benches over the years which i purchased at used office furniture shops in california. they had the same production details your groovy chairs have. thir are ads in vintage "interiors" and "furniture forum" for george kasparian and kasparian originals but not much else unfortunately.
a big shot dealer had some pieces that he billed as rare and important california design which also meant they were expensive.
i love their sometimes minimalist "Laverne" like look.
i'll try to see if i could find an ad in Inertiors for george kasparian........

Arts and Architecture magazines
from the mid to late 60s include many ads for Kasparian and I've see them in vintage issues of Interiors also. Those chairs look to me like late 60s, or early to mid 70's pieces. I think you may be on the right track. If they were stainless steel, I'd suggest that Cumberland might also be a possibility.
