ID Guy after a reply or two and further searching I believe BPS stands for Bernhard Pederson and Sons. The link below only shows 2 items but the cupboard is the same as mine. I have also been shown a link with my sideboard by the same maker. Hope this helps.

Dear Fulla...
I suspect you are right. I do not know if the company still exists but Bernhard Petersen & Søn made furniture on the island of Falster in a place called Eskildstrup. Falster is the second island when you drive from the Puttgarten-Rodby havn ferry towards Copenhagen (the first one is Lolland)I do not think they ever worked with very well known designers but the quality of the pieces you are showing is evidence for the fact that the general quality of Danish furniture making is way above average.

Wow, how often do you get a response from an actual family member of the company you are asking about!! I only bought the sideboard in the end and not the writing desk. I have provided a link to my Flickr page with the sideboard on. I would welcome as many details as possible, build , age, designer, original retail costs, stockist. Allot of questions but if you do not ask....
The sideboard has a burn to the top and I need to have the entire top veneer replaced. So construction data would also help.
Thank you ever so much!

Antonio...I found a side board for you!
Was looking at some Archie Shine sideboards and came across the exact BPS sideboard in your pic for sale in a London store. Not sure where you are based but sure they can ship. Do I get a finders fee:-)
