Drexel
Drexel Declaration was designed by Kip Stewart. His idea was to link the American craftsmanship of the Shakers with the modernism of the late fifties and early sixties. The original knobs are white porcelain. I have the dining room table and a coffee table, and one lounge chair. I'd like to add the china cabinet to my collection.
Drexel Declaration Buffet
I have the 6 foot Declaration walnut buffet, but I was stupid and replaced the porcelain knobs just 2 years ago to "update" it as it was being used as a dresser in my guest room. My sister has the one-piece china hutch with the lighted white glass shelves above with both a cabinet and drawers below. She also has 6 chairs, 4 regular and 2 with arms. The original seat cushions were off-white leather, but have been replaced. Also, stupid! Unfortuately, she didn't keep the dining table (liked hers more!) and it was part of our estate donation 2 years ago. Say it with me now, STUPID! The wood is beautiful, the style is danish modern and is still relevant style today!
I'll see if i can figure a way to post the photo....
Declaration Night Stand
I picked this up recently in excellent condition.

Declaration bookcase/bookshelf
I just found out that the bookcase that I want is Drexel declaration. I have seen several of them for sale but they were way out of my range!! ($795-1800!). I am looking for the one that belonged to aunt Martha, doesn't have a scratch on it (aunt Martha always used coasters!) and you just want to get rid of it! I WILL take it off your hands for sure and I am willing to pay a reasonable price for the pleasure. I live in Virginia so if aunt Martha lived on the east coast, even better!
