Thanks Robert!
Really helpful. Thanks for your time. I've puchased the webbing and clips and await some time to do it!

selling?
Stew,
Would you at all be willing to sell these? I've just been obsessed with this chair for awhile now and Robin Day is not very well known in the united states...
Just curious...
thank you
Jessica

Robin Day catalogue
Congratulations on finding such great chairs. The Chevron chair is such a classic with its simple, elegant design. I was curious if anyone out there in design land had a copy of an early Robin Day catalogue? I have the Lesley Jackson book, but it's impossible to read the tiny catalogue copies.
I am a big fan of Robin Day and we don't get much of his furniture in Australia. I have been lucky enough to find 2 Robin Day chairs, the origins of one of them is a complete mystery. It's a 658 Festival Hall lounge chair in rosewood with no padding and stamps for Hille and John Stuart ( U.S. Stockist).
It originally came from the U.S. I was wondering if any of the Robin Day experts might know the origin of the chair. I suspect it was a custom piece that may have been created for an exhibition or customer in the U.S.
I have included a link to the original auction, but I purchased it from a dealer. Be interested to hear your thoughts.
Cheers,
Tick.
