Picked up a chair this morning. It has some elements and details that make me think it has potential to be a later office 60's Finn Juhl design... but then I wonder how many influenced copies there are out there as well. Some elements feel too thick or straight..I can find overlapping details in other chairs, but not the chair.

Obviously not organic enough to be anything early or important, but the back pegs and the forms of the dowels , the seat, back rest make me wonder if it has some potential to be a later commercial design of his.
It will be easier once I get it in my hands, but thought i would ask the experts.

Scandinavian Formula
# 3416 -- yet another take on the sculpted supporting frame and the (ditto) floating seat, arm, and back elements. Hey -- that sounds like the Eames Lounger !
Nice.
(Remember "Grecian Formula" -- some kind of hair treatment ?)

I mean Juhl is a long shot...so I expect it is not him at all...
But I was also thinking maybe Hovmand Olsen. Anyway, just thought someone would have insight. Maybe it is just a cheap knock off, but I guess thats why I am asking.

it's a pleasant
derivative piece. PROBABLY not a name designer. Sorta Juhlish. Sorta Greta Grossman. But too busy for either.

I see what you mean.
Thanks for the feedback. I can certainly see what you are saying. Oh well, it was not expensive so no big deal, but was just curious.

Yeah I saw that. Thanks though.
These people have a pair for a way too much, but this is how I found them to be Thonet.
