EDITED: Never mind! I looked at the other Royal system I have and it has the same beveled case detail. I guess I was confused with the tension-pole Cado system set and wall-panel-mounted set (is there a name for that one? With the pegs?) that we have.....
Original post :
I found an interesting variation on the different Cado wall units we've had over the years. This one was brought to the US by the original owner from the Netherlands, and I'm theorizing this might have been a variation only sold in Europe...???? (I have some original US marketing brochures and this style is not shown.)
It's the Royal system, and clearly marked with stickers. However, the standards and the metal brackets are painted black. Also, the cases have a bevel on the inner rim of the case, which my other pieces do not. This listing on Pamono shows the bevel that mine has: https://www.pamono.com/danish-mid-century-royal-system-teak-wall-unit-by-poul-cadovius-for-cado
Does anyone have any knowledge about whether this was a variation due to the market (US vs Europe) or due to the era it was made, or?????
Thanks!
