Listed as 'Signed ILLEGIBLE - Fantastic 1950s GEOMETRIC ARTWORK'

Looks like it might be Lichtenstein.

Oh, please.
That seller has 200+ artworks for sale. All the rest have Buy-It-Now prices, but this was the only one he was selling in an auction format. Yet he "just can't figure out the signature, artist unknown to me"?
Yeah, right. There's no art dealer on the planet who wouldn't at least suspect that the signature read "Lichtenstein", and it only takes about a minute to find an image of the real signature on the web and compare.
A reputable dealer who thought he had a real Lichtenstein would have gotten the thing authenticated by the Roy Lichtenstein Foundation, or at least looked at by a local expert, then he would have identified it properly in his auction.
Below is a link to a whole bunch of real Lichtenstein colored-pencil drawings. It is left as an exercise for the reader to compare and contrast with the item in the Ebay auction.

amazes me that people fall for this crap....
I've seen people bid not small amounts for illegibly signed works by Piccaso (sic)
I guess it's just greed...
