I hate these kind of IDs but I am posting one. I just saw a lot of furniture tucked at the back of a garage and saw a chair! I only ask as it was very unique and if anybody knows of the design they will probably understand my attempt at describing the chair.
Here goes: The legs are a U shape bent oak the back support is seperate (it is not secured to the legs). what makes it unusual is the back is held in place by two brass square supports which wedge the U shape legs at the bottom of the chairs legs with the two pieces of wood that come down from the back support.
Any hints suggestions are greatfully recieved.
Assumption.
I think the assumption should be made that I dont have a photo hence the description of the chair rather than a picture which would I agree be a quicker route to gaining the information I need about said chair. I thought this thread would be too much of an easy target for the smart arses;)
I am sorry but robert1960 is...
I am sorry but robert1960 is annoying as hell.
He is not funny or particularly knowledgeable.
I honestly do not understand why you even post here.
You're a 52 year old man with nothing better to do?
My grandfather is 57 and goes hiking everyday, maybe you should step away from the computer and do the same.
(In all fairness, robert1960 is not the only old geezer here who thinks theyre funny.)
i beg to differ
Robert1960 has helped me out on several occasions and has always been courteous. More courteous than a lot of others on this forum.
It looks to me like something was lost in translation on this thread which has resulted in Arthur Sixpence taking offence, which is a shame as I don't believe it was intended.
Let's not use this an excuse to start a lynchmob. There are a lot more people on this forum whom I find far more offensive and contribute a lot less, start which them if you want to vent at someone.
Shame we're back to yet another hate campaign...
