Hey, I need a nice anglepoise alternative. Anything you guys might recommend? So far I've seen Jielde lamps, totally awesome, but a little too expensive for me.

Tolomeo
Not cheap, but less expensive than the Jielde Signal. Nicer-looking, too, in my opinion. And a lot brighter.

Here is a nice webpage I found. Still, nothing like the Jielde in my humble opinion, they really are in a class of their own in terms of looks.

I also have a Stefano Cervoli Meridiana desk lamp that I like a lot...but it needs a new bulb socket. Do you have any idea how I can contact the manufacturer, or from whom I might purchase the proper socket? Any help you miy be able to offer would be appreciated. Paul F

I am
a bit of a Luxo guy, like the utility and the industrial angle the them (yes I am one of those guys). I JUST bought 3 really sweet L1 luxo's that I am waiting for delivery. I also have a couple of adjustable medical lamps around the house that I really love. For lamps, I prefer up front utility.
