Going to Amsterdam in 3 weeks after not having been there since 2005.
wondering if anyone can advise on some good design / retro shops to look out for ?
these days i mainly collect chrome, glass, plastic, space age, electronics, colombo, panton, morgue, murano, lighting, seating and other ramdom stuff.

Frozen Fountain
There's plenty of shops where you can find the same stuff that you'll find in any other major city, but to see something quintessentially Dutch, I'd recommend the Frozen Fountain ( http://www.frozenfountain.nl/) and the Droog outlet ( http://www.droog.com/outlet/droog-amsterdam/). You may not find the plastic and chrome stuff there, but I guarantee you'll see something of interest.
