A gentleman is selling these stools to me and I would like verification that they are authentic. He states that there are two stamps underneathe with one stating that they were made in Holland. Does this add up to them being authentic. He is offering them up at a really fair price. Be at peace and thank you for the research information, Lenox
They have been in storage for quite awhile so please ignore the dust.....
I am still unsure
Certain items I am sold on because I have knowledge of their design origin. I have been studying and collecting this type of furniture for the last 9 months. Before then I knew very little about this period furniture and the like.
I look for honest advice where google searching yields inadequate and sometimes unfamiliar results. I also post certain items to help address the collecting aspect for individuals like myself who need a little help. As for your question I am still not sure, however, I have an opportunity to buy 10 for 100. I still might purchase these tomorrow so that we can have extra seating and they stack so placement in the corner of a room works just fine. I have seen some that are painted various colors and this might be an option.
Verify....
Shouldn't have filleted legs & tapered seat edge....
Have only seen the honey golden leg aged patina on 3 leg version...
Seat thickness...
Any finsven or artek labels...
Check patented bent ply leg layering configuration...
Leg screws should be flat head w/ this leg patina...
