There are numerous sofas offered in the market in style of Pearsall and some claim because it is made by Craft Associates
it is Pearsall. On the other hand same sofa in different post states " Pearsall Style". Is Craft Associates a good barometer for an authentic Pearsall. What would be a good way to go about to know which one is real?

Thank You MCManiac
The link was a great help. I went through the total designs by Pearsall in on that site, it would not be an exaggeration that there are ten times more designs attributed or credited to him when one search under his name ...

.
I am not sure that catalog represents the complete works of Adrian Pearsall. To quote from its homepage:
"
Adrian was prolific with his designs and even at the height of production, allowed for custom work, making it very difficult to archive all of the interesting designs that were distributed throughout the world. This website is in the early stages of cataloging and identifying as much as possible, all of Adrian's designs throughout his career. We invite you to visit our blog and post your inquires, thoughts and stories. In the furniture section, you will see pictures and catalog sheets of every item we have been able to identify chronologically. Please check back often as changes and additions will be made constantly.
"
So for any design in that catalog there is a virtual certainty that it is an Adrian Pearsall design.
For any other design not in the catalog, it does NOT allow us to rule out the possibility that it is a Pearsall design, per the quote above.
Probably a lot of the attributions to Pearsall on the internet are bogus. But some of them may be correct. And if it has a Craft Associates tag, I wouldn't be surprised to discover it is a Pearsall, because it was his company, and I've never heard of other designers working for him.
What is it with all these Pearsall questions lately???

I dunno, could be the
Apartment Therapy "before and after" profile of a Pearsall sofa that was in rotten shape and someone got it all spiffed up for $1000, including polyurethaning the walnut trim. Or maybe it was a Pearsall-style sofa, I can't remember. When I read it, there were 90++ comments, mostly oohing and aahing. It was yesterday or the day before, I think.
Something like that on that site can spark a lot of interest.

Wait, so my
Cynical prediction of some article writers talking up Pearsall for a few bucks in advertising revenue was actually true when I wrote it. Which makes it not so very cynical indeed.
Cue the scholars and academics.
The age of Pearsall is nigh!

Spanky:
Yep. There's the Pearsall sofa article on apartment therapy. Click. Wait, its a knockoff Pearsall.
Now that's funny.
I am not nearly cynical enough.
