Eames chairs are much easier ...
Eames chairs are much easier to date ... because they changed manufacturing processes, materials, graphic labels, and plants so often. So much of their value can depend on this info.
Whereas Saarinen chairs tend to change value based on condition only. Not age.

I know now that the US version had a sticker and
the Euro had the 'Knoll International' signature.
I had hoped that the details like the leg (cast iron), Signature etc.. would give an idea of the age.

Unfortunately, I don't think...
Unfortunately, I don't think that the manufacturing differences over time is nearly as widely published with Knoll as HM. So I would recommend calling them directly if you must know!!

No it is not a must, but always nice to know.
In mine opinion that is what it is al about when you are interested in (vintage) design furniture... The story after it.....

On the lonely road to my...
On the lonely road to my answer, I have found something.
Yesterday we have bought a Saarinen/KnollStudio Tulip chair from 2007 (says invoice that came with it.)
Under the leg of this chair there is a sign "07" So 2007
On our vintage tulip chair there is a sign "64"
So, it is possible this chair is from 1964??
Is there anybody who can verify this?
