For inexpensive but good wall systems...
... I always recommend Rakks brackets or poles with Ikea cabinets and shelves. The photo below shows only one option; there are many others, including wall-mounted standards instead of poles.
The Volani floating shelves and cases are high-style and all, but the system looks like a huge pain in the ass to assemble. You basically screw a new wall onto your old wall, right? And then you have to paint it to match before hanging the shelves and cabinets on it? That doesn't seem like much fun.
It'll be easier for people to make useful recommendations if you give them more information. What is it about the Volani system that you particularly like or require?

I'm a big fan of this modular shelve system by Niels Strinning.
It's not cheap but affordable..

Another vote for both Volani...
Another vote for both Volani & String systems, the first one offering an ideal entertainment center solution for my quite heavy stereo system, flat screen TV etc., while allowing me to keep my cds (whatever of them are left) and DVDs out of sight at the same time. The string system is mainly for books & smaller objects..the fact that both were available in walnut helped in the decision...
