Thank you for all the nice responses. When I began researching my topic, I thought MCM stuff was going to be boring, but there are some great pieces, which I have really enjoyed looking at and learning about. Maybe I will be an enthusiast at the end of this 🙂

Trouble with
MCM is that everyone is chasing the same designers. There are so many repetitions of the same old Eames, Saarinen, Vitra, Colombo, etc. in hundreds of books. Why not try looking at something that has not been discussed, for instance, vacuum cleaner design, Thermos flasks and Thermos jugs, Sunbeam Mixmasters, just for starters. They all will have been influenced by other designs of the period in which they were created. Then you will have done some original creative writing instead of trying to add something original to an over-discussed topic.
